Free Project AHO mod

Project AHO (Aetherium Hyperspace Observatory), a free mod for Skyrim SE, adds a lot to the game. It’s a DLC mod that features its own storyline and new content like main quests, side-quests, NPCs, and even a set of musical compositions made exclusively for Project AHO. The mod even has new locations for you to explore and is definitely worth trying out on your next Skyrim playthrough.

Clockwork, Rigmor of Bruma, and Beyond Skyrim: Bruma are similar mods available for Skyrim. They have impressive side quests, new locations, and NPCs (Non-Player Characters). They truly bring the best out of what players love about Skyrim.

New content

Project AHO brings a lot to the table. To start off, it has a main non-linear quest. You are tasked with deciding the fate of a secret settlement called Sadrith Kegran of the Great House Telvanni. There are over 18 quests to play through. You can also explore 40 new locations, try out new armor, weapons, spells, and items.

The mod has more than 20 voiced NPCs and even has its own music score. About 11 new musical compositions were made. Choir, violins, organs, etc., were used in the scores to give richness to the game. The game’s aesthetics, especially in Sadrith Kegran, are stunning. The settlement is full of bright and vibrant colors and structures.

Attention to detail & NPCs

The residents of Sadrith Kegran have a detailed daily routine. They prepare food, visit other NPCs, pick flowers in gardens, etc. There are 20 new NPCs that are fully voiced. They even have their unique attributes and issues. Over 48,000 words were recorded, along with numerous reaction dialogues. Despite this, you may find many of the NPCs to be rude and uninteresting. None of them are particularly rememberable.

Is it worth playing?

Project AHO is undoubtedly impressive. You can see the amount of effort that was put into the design of the Skyrim mod. The new locations, equipment, characters, and quests bring you a good Skyrim experience as you explore it. Although some players sometimes run into a few bugs here and there, most of the bugs are resolved too. The main storyline is not engaging or interesting, which we think could have been better. Nonetheless, the side quests are fun to play through.

    • Impressive graphics

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
